Are you a weirdo? And I don’t mean that to be offensive. I’m just wondering if you’re straight up weird.
We all have little quirks that makes us unique and different. But then there’s people who are just out of this world. Could they be aliens? Probably.
Here’s an example: Riding the train, a gentleman sits next to me as I crochet away. He goes through the happenings of the world on his phone, before he takes out the newspaper. Nothing strange so far, you say to yourself as you wonder where this story is going.
Patience.
This gentleman is fumbling around his bag for a minute before he pulls out a little mini tupperware, which contains, what looks like, a mustard type dip inside it. Okay, you say to yourself, no biggie, this man will have a snack. Except his “snack” consisted of sliced ham. Straight up ham slices. Now, you’re thinking that he was about to make himself a sandwich.
Nope.
He took his deli cut ham slices, dipped them into the mustard dip and ate them like that.
I’m not one to judge what people eat. Food is delicious and it’s what keeps us alive, aside from air and water. And you might be thinking, “don’t be so judgmental, he could have had a long day and needs a little pick-me-up, maybe that’s his favorite thing.” Okay, cool. Good argument. Except this was at 8 o’clock in the morning, and we were traveling TO work, not FROM work.
Still think I’m being judgmental?
But in all seriousness, what is ham and mustard? Is it a snack? Did he enjoy his mustard dipped ham slices? Is this an appropriate breakfast? And who decides what is considered a meal and what is not?
Honestly, I have no idea. But if you’re eating sliced ham and dipping it in mustard at 8 in the morning… you’re straight up weird and that’s all I have to say about that.
Quirkily yours,
