Hey Good Lookin’,
Have you ever worked in a job? That’s a terrible question. Have you ever had a job, where it was possible for you to leave the city or even the state, and then run into the thing you deal with on a daily basis? This can happen to a lot of jobs. If you work retail, most likely you will run into the chain you work for in another state. But if you work in an office job, not that likely.
So, my day job is an office job. Surprise. And on a daily basis I end up dealing with US Citizenship & Immigration services and US Customs & Border Protection, which are US agencies that handle (spoiler alert) immigration and citizenship matters. Very exciting work (it’s literally all paper). Anyway! So, I went to a Bachelorette party for a girlfriend in Florida. No big. We start driving around looking for a place to eat, and our GPS’s tried to get us killed. A few times. I don’t know if you have ever driven in Florida, but I am convinced that 90% of the state is just highways. Nobody will slow down for you, get out of the way. And get out of the way we did! Unfortunately, when we pulled into the first turn we could find to get our bearings and have our GPS’s stop crapping out on us, we were greeted with this:
I almost shit myself.
Of all the roads, and all the highways, and all businesses, and all the places we could randomly pull into… we ended up at the Border Protection’s offices. How do you accidentally pull into an agency’s place? Because that’s my luck.
See you on the flip side!
Quirkily yours,
