Offensively Smelly

June 29, 2016June 23, 2016 thequirkydigestLeave a comment

I have a pattern here of talking about things that I make, and the train that I take.  The two are usually interconnected as I have a lot of time to myself on my daily commute.  This time, I’d like to talk about smells. Yes. Smells. If you have ever been in a public space,…… Continue reading Offensively Smelly

Picky Battles

June 24, 2016June 23, 2016 thequirkydigestLeave a comment

I am not exactly the best person to give this kind of advice, but it has to be said. Pick your battles carefully. I have the luxury of commuting with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), using their Metro North railways to get in and out of New York City for my lovely day job. There are several lines which come into the city, and each…… Continue reading Train Quirks

Flammable Stupidy

June 1, 2016May 31, 2016 thequirkydigestLeave a comment

On May 17th, 2016, there was a massive fire, underneath the tracks at East Harlem, which caused all trains coming in and out of New York City to stop running.  No one knew in the beginning why the fire was so bad and what caused it, all everyone did know was that the commute was…… Continue reading Flammable Stupidy
